With all the fun gamers have had with Gran Turismo and now
Viper racing, will we see more of this?

I hope so. Since Sony are being really idiots about porting GT to the
PC, we can finally play Viper in career mode.
Are there any other games with a career mode, either released or in
development?

I hope this trend continues.

(Dreaming of TOCA with career mode.........)

Professional Sports Car Racing will have a career mode, you start off in GT3
and move up to GT1. You'll be able to buy cars, though you'll need a lot of
cash for that McLaren F1 or Mercedes CLK-GTR.

There is a program "F1 career" that operates independently of any program. I
modified
it for GPL. Check the sim sites out or search for it, there is a web page
for it.
