Why I think CPR SUCKS BAD!!!!!

SNIP

I think the F1 demo has awesome graphics but the driving model and sounds
sucked. The AI also ran into me allot in the F1 demo. I wouldn't agree that
it is the best sim ever. Maybe for you though?

Don't forget this game was mostly developed by Terminal Reality. I actually
met with these guys and they did not try to pull the wool over anyones eyes.
They poured their hearts into this thing and tried to make it as realistic
as possible. To name some of the highlights (Garage engineer, Sounds,
realistic tracks (except for cleveland), Exact replica of PI dash, fuel
flow, advanced 6 degree of freedom model, true 3d physics model instead of
2D, huge garage selection, etc.
Now granted the AI needs allot of work and T.R.I. is working fevearishly to
make a patch. It is not certain exactly what will be in the patch but I
would bet framerate and AI are top issues.

That's funny. My system is a P133 and a Monster 3D card and my framerate is
just fine. Are you sure that the computer is using the Monster 3D card
instead of the Screaming 3D. If you go to 3DFX's web site they have a
utility that you can download to make sure that the 3DFX card will be used
over the screamin 3d card. The 3DFX card will yield allot better frame rate
in CART then the screaming 3D. Also make sure you are running in full screen
mode without a title bar. Any other mode (windowed or Full screen with title
bar) will be running in software acceleration and not hardware
accelleration.
One last thing the AI may suck right now but playing up to 8 people on the
*** ZONE rocks!!!!!! I would mutch brather play against a human than a
computer good or bad. I have had very smooth and fun races on the ZONE you
should give it a try.

Thanks
John

No problem Kas. If you check out The APEX http://www.racesimcentral.net/~joja/
there is a benchmarks section. Go there and there are a couple benchmarks
for three different systems. You can run the same test and see if you are
close to the nearest system to yours. All tests are run in CART and use the
"FRAME" command. There are also some setups on my page which make driving
the car allot more enjoyable. Lastly I really encourage you to try racing
against people on the ZONE http://www.racesimcentral.net/
race there you will never want to race against AI again ;-)

Take Care

I agree you 100%. I tried to like it I really did but this thing is
just ***y awful. I played it for several hours today fiddling with
everything to get it to be playable. It sucks the big one, stay away
from it, very far away. I have yet to see a M$ game that was any good
IMHO

good racing everybody (Well not on CPR anyway!)

Does that include Flight Sim 98?  I don't think so.

OK Pete you might have me on that one because I haven't tried that
particular game. I meant that of all the M$ games "I" have tried iI
haven't found any to my liking. It was not intended to be a put down
of all M$ games.

Do you know what company made Flight Sim 98?  Who made all the other MSFS?

Not to my knowladge. Terminal Reality made the exact same stinky design
with cart as they did with MTM. Probebly made the game off mtm too. About
Flight Sim 98, a different company make it for microsoft and is a lot
better to my knowladge.

All the products you listed are published by my Simulations Product Unit.

The CPR and MTM series are developed by Terminal Reality for my Product
Unit.

I have in-house teams developing FlightSim and several other aircraft sims
(yet to be announced).

So basically, if you have an issue regarding any of these, flame (sorry,
ask) me.

Hope that clears up any confusion    ;  )
