Nascar 3 Pro Racing Club (N3PRC)

Nascar 3 Pro Racing Club (N3PRC)

After hearing complaints of cheaters cropping up in 2 weeks.  I decided
to post a postive message.

I'll be starting the N3PRC (Nascar 3 Pro Racing Club) when I get the
game :-D, hopefully before October in Canada.  Basically it will be a
group of clean drivers and anyone in the group can setup series races or
just coordinate races with known clean drivers.  Starting with clean
drivers from GPL, who like Nascar, new members will have to be referred
by an existing member to join.

I will be starting a series for the group so clean, fair racing will not
be too far away :-)

I think that's a good idea, and a good solution to the cheating problem. I'd
like to get involved, but I don't have any GPL experience, and no one on
this board knows me (I don't think). Maybe I'll start a club for newbie N3
racers :-b

Good point Jeff.  For people who don't know existing members, I will hold
recruiting races.  I did this with GPL. It might be an open race or passworded
depending on the number of recruits at the time.

Shall I put you on the list for the first recruiting race? :-D

BTW, with over 100 GPL members (GPLPRC, GPLRC, ...) I hope to get a good start
on the members list.

Jason.

Sure... count me in. Will you have divisions for newbies and more
experienced drivers? I think it would be good if there were. Also, in
leagues of this sort, can you use existing car setups (the ones that came
with the game) or do you have to tweak them yourself before racing. I don't
know that much about it, but I would like to learn as I go.

In the past (GPL series) I've just hosted one series on Pro mode and will
continue to host one series in N3.  Both fast and "slow" drivers would
participate in the same race.  I don't mind backmarkers because its a part of
racing.  My time is limited and coordinating many series would be too much for
me; however, you could start a slower drivers league and use the N3PRC as
instant access to clean drivers.

I'm not restricting the N3PRC to Pro or fast racers just clean racers.  Pro
tends to refer to the attitude of the driver.  I will probably run my series
with damage, yellow flags and a pace lap -- trying to make its as realistic as
possible.  With a possible 43 drivers on the track, it would be very stressful
to have everyone running the same pace I do ;-D

The series I host within N3PRC will not have fixed setups.  Everyone has a
different driving style (lose, tight) and forcing one setup IMO is not the best
way to go.  As for learning how to setup a car... that's gonna take awhile.
Lets just say I've learned the basics from Papy!

Hey, well, count me in, too, I guess. I don't have much GPL experience -
none online - and don't like it all that much. *cringes and ducks from
flying tire irons* GPL is just TOO much for me. But N3, as soon as I get
it, I think, will be just right. Just let me know...

I know you as a reasonable long-time poster in the sports groups. If
you say you'll race clean and fair, I believe you.

Hi Dirk,

I don't have my copy of N3 yet :-(  Hopefully, it will be here the first week
of October.  I would predict that if I receive the product by Oct 2nd
recruiting races should start Oct 9.

As for being ready, I will not have the perfect setup for each track but I'm
used to that in GPL with the spec races I hold.  I just need to get the members
list started.

Jason.

Hi Jason,
If your Nascar-setups become as good as your Ferrari-setups, you dont'
need to be worry.
