Driver signups are being accepted for two new racing series at the
ismca.
Both series are for the original Nascar Racing, and both use special
racing software for verification of results.
The Hard Charger Challenge is a series racing on shorter tracks in
which the drivers start at the back of a 25 car field and are awarded
points based on how far they move up in the field in 20 - 25 laps.
Bonus points are also awarded for drivers who finish better than the
field average.
The Southern ProTruck Series is a more typical offline racing series
with a qualification round and longer races. However, the ProTruck
Series features what is believed to be an ismca exclusive the "True
Starting Grid". With a seperate qualifying round, the ismca race
software allows the driver to download a race settings file which
starts the driver in his or her actual qualifying position for the
race. In other words, only the fastest qualifier starts on the pole.
The second fastest starts on the outside pole, Tenth fastest starts on
the outside fifth row, etc.
To signup for one of these series, or for more information, visit the
ismca web site
