The reason I ask is that I will be in the US at the time that
WC2/F1GP2 is released. Is there any reason why I shouldn't
buy it at the vastly cheaper US prices?
All the new drivers and bug fixes seem to come out for US
versions first (bigger market?)

Are you sure that by the time you pay shipping/handling you'll have
saved much money off the 32.99 you'll end up paying for it via a mail
order company in this country (UK)? I doubt it. BTW, I made that price
up, but it's probably not too far off.
True. Very annoying having US and UK (etc) versions of patches. Look
at the car sets in Nascar for instance! Well, at least we got Babylon5
