Did you see the phrase "BODY STYLE"????? Duh. Monte Carlos you buy in
the dealer don't have roof flaps, or Ford 9" rear-ends, or 10" wide
tires, or roll-bars, or.....

Strangely enough, that's one of the things I LIKE about F1 - who wants
to watch the same thing they driver everyday?

F1 is not popular only in Europe, actually in every country in the world
EXCEPT the United States would be more accurate. Brazil has a HUGE F1
following, and even Japan was the country where Senna had most fans
outside Brazil - that's why I said F1 is a much bigger sport than
NASCAR.

Not better, not more skillful - we can't prove either of those one way
or the other. But it is undoubtedly bigger which is what we were talking
about.

Cheers!
John

This is completely irrelevant in open-wheel racing. The brand makes a
huge difference in F1 but, in relative terms, it doesn't in IndyCar.

But as far as I know every NASCAR fan drives some sort of truck
or tractor, or so it seems, hence it is even more irrelevant
in USA's premier racing league. ;-)

I really wonder if "what wins on Sunday, sells on Monday" holds
true today. In F1 and IndyCar definetily not. And in NASCAR the
cars are almost identical in performance, except for Pontiac even
though they have improved, so what wins is due to the driver and
a lot less to the car. Given that I guess Dale Jarret dolls would
sell really well on Monday. :) The worst is that I think NASCAR
fans would buy them. Imagine a bunch of rednecks sitting on your
desk. Ouch!

Two cars - and another driver to intentionally cause a yellow flag to
put Vasser back in the lead lap...
