Having played a lot of Colin Mcrae 2, I've taken a rest and gone back to
heavier weight 'Rally Championship'. I want to play with the cars parameters
a little (grip etc) using Ral Wiz, but I wondered if this messes up the
track times compared to the other CPU cars?

Any advice?

Hmmm... I haven't experimented with the arcade mode in this respect, but it
is my impression the times the AI "do" in the simulation mode, have fairly
little to do with the physics or the stages as the player experiences them.
