Hi all

What's a fun game for driving online ??
I know that GPL is still the best ( I'm a GPL junkie from day one :) but a
few friends of mine can't get used to GPL.
So I seek another game thats fun and still gives me some satisfaction.

Importent is

Good online play and fun

thx in advance

MGPRS2 was pretty fun playing it through Game Service.
It's not as good as GPL but the cars are a bit easier to come to grips with.

4 x 4 Evolution is fantastic online and a lot of fun. Made by the same
developers who did CPR and MTM1 and 2. John from VROC is the producer.

NFS: Porsche (whatever)

Decent driving model, lots of different cars, multiple parts for
upgrade,
multiple tracks...

If you liked fake virtual racing, yes.

I drove nfs5 on the ea servers for months and enjoyed it quite a bit.
The races are quite short (2-3 minutes), most races are collision-off
(removing the #1 gpl aggravation for casual drivers), the servers are
modem-friendly, and they record record lap-times, very cool if you manage to
get a fast time.

Well, it's not a SIM, nor is it anything like GPL, but my favorite
online game has always been Monster Truck Madness.. I liked the
original the best, but the graphics are getting pretty dated these
days, so you might want to look at MTM2 :)

Oh, they are both from Microsoft, but were written by Terminal Reality
and are *great* fun!

Altho I like the concept of 4x4 EV, it just doesn't seem to be
anything other than MTM2 with new vehicle graphics.. I would think
that these vehicles, which are 8,000 pounds *lighter* than a Monster
Truck, would be able to stop and turn a LOT quicker than they do in
4x4!  To me, the physics of stopping and turning are even *slower*
than they were with the big trucks!

Other than that, it's another fun game from TR!

I just got this one awhile ago and love it! I haven't played it online
yet, however..

Haven't tried this one online yet either.. Hard enough to get used to
driving a utility vehicle that drives like a tank offline!
