If you saw a company called...

Spare me your lectures, please.

I suppose you'd rather have actual spam, like, "CHECK OUT THIS SITE I
FOUND!!!!!!!" which then links to some advert popup-happy unrelated site,
right?

As far as people being wrong, it's only been one person, and you asked. Like I
said, read more carefully.

As far as the reason for my post - I'm a designer, I bought that domain name,
and it's because I wanted to know what people think a business would be with
that name. It's curiosity. Maybe I'll never use it. Maybe it will be an online
barber shop. Why did *you* think the reason was?

There. By the way, I'm only correcting you. Speak for yourself.

So?  Does that make his opinion any less valid?

You bought a domain name without even knowing if you'll USE it?  That seems
strange...
But however you word it, you're still asking for people's thoughts on a
possible business/website name.  Not that there's anything WRONG with that, but
don't be deceptive about it.

Maybe he bought it so he can sell it later. Some people have made big
bucks doing that. And I mean six figure bucks.

There are even websites that sell & buy domain names. Although I would
say it's quite an uncharming way of making a living. Like keeping
people hostage.

The big money only comes from domain names everybody recognizes immediately.
Too bad there are none left.

What was deceptive?

Yea, too bad I don't have the opportunist's business sense or I might
have bought one back in '93 and be rich now.

That's a ridiculous and pretty uninformed thing to say. I'm planning on using
it myself, anyway.

I guess you were expecting to make a mint reselling that name?

LOL! Early retirment plans foiled again!

Let's say I was planning to sell it -

your comment is still uninformed. Do you know what that means?
Try learning about what you're commenting on next time.

So there.

No, no, no... let's just say I could sell you some really cool domain names.
Or bridges. You want bridges, andy-boy? I got a nice suspension bridge in
Brooklyn. Dirt cheap, but you better hurry...

Ha, ha, ha... The last of the big time domain name barons has spoken!
