I am looking for this track. I can't find it anywhere! It looks like the
site that used to host it, or something, is gone (www.racesim.net), and the
site that is supposed to apparently be its only current distro point
(www.theuspits.com) doesn't seem to have it. From their tracks section I
have downloaded all the graphic updates for this track, I'm just missing the
***y .dat file!   lol

If this track is in fact obviously located for download on this site or
elsewhere and I've just managed to miss it all this time, please feel free
to point out my stupidity, but also include the link to the track.   ;)

Thanks in advance
Scott.

I'm curious - is this in Quebec, about 100km north of Montreal?

When I visited Quebec a few weeks ago I went a place with a similar name -
it is a ski resort and had a ferrari show on at the the time. Is there are
racetrack near there somewhere?

Thanks,
Tim

then click on the "gpl tracks list" link on the left hand side, it
should show up then, yes, we know the place is a little hard to navigate
and we're working on a major redesign

Yes, Le Circuit Mont Tremblant (I may have the name slightly
misspelled), is located on the outskirts of the village of Mt.
Tremblant, where the famous ski resort is located. The track is also
known by the name of the town and/or region (I forget the exact details
of the geography): St. Jovite.

There is currently a bit of buzz going on there because the track is
starting to get some increased use, and some of the locals are
complaining about the noise (and property values).

That's about it, exactly.

Screw them people with 500,000$ houses.  They should have known there was a
racetrack in their backyard.

Let me guess, if you lived in the States, you would not be a registered

Dont know about him, but im an aussie and agree with him.. basically. Our
track was closed for the same reason, too loud even tho it has been there
since the 50-60's. Its happening to a few tracks in the local area,
especially moto-x tracks.

Politics aside, IF a racetrack that is still in use and has been in use for years and years etc,
happens to be near where some developer puts up subdivisions of housing, no matter what the price
range, its wrong to try to get the track closed.  N.A. has lost enough if it's old classic tracks to
this trype of crap.

LOL, well the thing is, the track was there LONG ago, back in the 60's.
They should had known better.  My attitude is pretty much right-wing (in a
certain way).  It's their fault for choosing to live there, knowing that
there's a racetrack.  It's like those people living near airports and whine
about it.  WHY did you went to live there first?  Makes no sense!!!  :)

Not only that, but hey it's Mont-Tremblant, one of the biggest ski center in
North America.  Those people expect tranquility?

Trust me Bob, I go to Mont-Tremblant a couple of times per year (for it's
nightlife) and those stupid ***ers that have 500,000$ houses and whine
about the sound, it's pure bollocks.  Just the city itself and all the
foreign people brings an incredible activity to the old city, so there's no
tranquility there.  There's also some sound isolation products, I'm sure
they can afford it ;)

I was just pulling your chain a bit.  Many years ago my folks purchased a
house right on a golf course, and then spent the next five years complaining
about broken windows :-)

Tremblant was used for years in the late sixties and seventies (including
twice for the Canadian Grand Prix, alternating with Mosport), but then
almost became unusable in recent years due to lack of maintenance....so over
time the locals got used to it being there physically, but not actually in
use.  Now it has had a multi-million $ make-over and the noise begins.

It was used constantly in the 80's and the 90's for various private
motorsport events and racing schools.

Which is 10x times less then the constant year-long amount of tourist noise
they have to live with.
