problem with NASCAR while modem racing

Here's the scenario

I am racing a friend on NASCAR, I call him.  We are racing at Talladega,
and have gone about 40-45 laps so it is time to pit.
All of a sudden a yellow flag comes out so we go around the track another
time to allow the yellow flag to wave (telling us that we cant pass anyone
anymore).  My buddy is in 1st place while I'm in let's say 9th place.  My
buddy pulls into pit lane and begins to slow down.   All of a sudden the 8
cars that were behind him stop in the middle of the track, as if they
cannot pass him because it is a yellow flag.  So here i am stuck behind
these stopped cars because it will not let me pass them.  They wait about
10-15 seconds and then suddenly start again.

Has anyone else experience the wierdness described above?  I have only
seen it happen at Talladega when I am modem racing during a yellow flag.
It does not happen all the time, but once it does it's annoying enough to
tick ya off.  Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

This happens at all tracks when your modem racing.  I hope its fixed in
NASCAR2.  Thier are a lot of bugs in the modem racing.  Your buddy was
the calling driver, and the AI's will not start going until he is
actually in his pit.  You'll also find that the AI's will race him (the
caller) bacj to the line after leaving the pits, and the game won't make
them stay behind him.  However, he can move around them if he catches
them before the start/finish line.  I'm running a modem series, so weve
seen a lot of these bugs.  Nothing can be done about the pit thing
though.  Just be prepared to stop and miss the AI's.  :)
