e-card CDs?

This has to change... what about the people that have vertically mounted
drives, or even slot-loading mechanisms?

Wait until more info is posted on Monday.

People who have spoken to C&T at Goodwood have indicated that they
will also be available on normal CD's.

If the focus is more on the packaging of the game instead of the game itself
I give it little hope.  Performance, content, look/feel of the sim itself
will sell games, not the shape of the CD or if it comes in a leather bound
case.
As some had mentioned the site and content seem to be more of a vehicle to
generate VC capital than it is to showcase the sim.

It was stated at Goodwood that conventional CD's would also be available.

CD's shaped in a way that it's sized like a business card.

Schooner wrote in rec.autos.simulators,

The packaging ISN'T the main focus, but why not make the full effort to
make the complete package as good as possible.  I've listen, at Goodwood,
to what they have to say and I'm really impressed - I just hope that they
managed to talk to everyone they wanted about licences, seem to be going
about it the right way. :O)  To be honest, I don't think that these
licences are going to be the be-all-and-end-all anyway ...

I'm looking forward to RL - expansion packs seem like a great way to get
multiple sims, but all to the quality that we expect.

Cheers,
Paul T

And just how do they play on a regular cdrom drive? I remeber hearing about
this kind of technology many years ago but thought they would use no moving
parts like a cdrom drive has.

Thx. Pretty cool looking. I wonder how much data they hold?
