I could care less about the crowds, also. Just as long as they get
the lake in the middle of the Daytona infield right, I'm buying it!

No offense taken but, did i say the game is ***? did is say NH is better ?

I prefer N4 physics a LOT
I prefer N4 FF implementation
I prefer N4 sound
I prefer N4***pit
I prefer GPL ... oups - wrong category :o)
I prefer N4 front end
AND
I prefer NH crowd

BTW, NH is as fast as N4 on my PC ( Athlon 600 + GeForce DDR ),  and i don't
care to have more than 60fps ...35fps in GPL are good enough... ;o)

Cliff Roman a crit :

Well, sur its not important, but its the sums of all the details that make the
differences between an excellent game and THE Game.

And, when i look a replay, especially if N4 feature a crowd camera, i would like
to have crowd that looks like crowd ... if not ... i'll buy the game anyway
;o)))

so , you 'll say me , what are you complaining if you'll buy tha game anyway ?
well, maybe Papyrus will do something about this :o)))))

king regards,

I turned everything off, graphics, sounds, ect.. and ran a couple laps
at dover.  at 170 fps the feeling was absolutly fluid!!  I turned quite a
few things on and got 49-50 fps.  Allthough it was still fantastic I could
easily see the difference.  But then that's a difference of 120fps, so
naturally there's a big difference in perception.  GPLs 36fps is very good
but now that I had a taste of 170 in N4, 36 in GPL isn't all that great.
but that's just my opinion

Well, what I want Papy to fix, that they should have fixed in N3 and didn't,
is that stupid 2 lap lag in the replay screens.  I want to see the data for
the lap just completed, just after I complete it.  Not two laps later.  This
should not be that hard to fix and it's ridiculous that it was still in N3.

My GeForce seems to prove that unvalidated

I'm with Don the hell with the crowds bring me physics.

Thats a personal opinion, I think Nascar Heat looks ,.....well...........
Cartoonish .

you admit N4 is much more impressive thus far from what I've seen compared
to Nascar Heat...........hell, I still say its an arcade racer with fair
physics. IMO :)

OK, I might be accused of being a nit-picker (or just a nit) but in the
pic of Lowe's night, wouldn't there be more than one shadow coming off
the cars? They have loads of lights there, yes?

OK, back to the ba***t for me....

Colin.

I have a 64mb GTS and I have to turn a lot of stuff off to get decent
framerates
Sure, you can get 150+fps but in online racing with 40+others you sure wont

Thats interesting I have a GeForce2 MX and experience excellent framerates.
A 64mg GTS should fly.

I have to agree on the cars as well, I thought Heat's were somewhat
cartoonish as well, and think N4's look more realistic, of course just mho.

Not sure what processor you have, but with that card I would think you
should get "playable to pretty darn good" framerates. Of course, if your
looking for 80 plus with everything maxed out, your probably going to have
to wait for technology to catch up some :)

Don,
Well, of course your right
Id be happy with 30+frames if it was stable through the entire track
But going from 80+ to 40+ in the turns isnt what I consider a good framerate
lol

If you're looking at the crowd while you're driving, you're gonna be doing a
lot of those rolls.
