I know many of you already know this but I believe many of us are driving
this game like they drive other sims or there real life car. brake into turn
then full throttle out of turn. hope this helps some of the rookies.

Lets say you enter a turn at 100mph (for example) the car will grip the turn
and go through with no problems. but on the next lap you realize you braked
early and have the car slowed to 80mph in that same corner, you cannot
accelerate back up to your normal speed but must maintain that  speed or
will upset the chassis and spin.
The tires willl give plenty of grip if the car is balanced.
And if you enter a turn faster then you normally enter it it is better to
try and go through the turn with the extra speed then to brake while in the
turn. the car will slide a little and scub off the extra speed on its own.

That's one of my favourite things about GPL - trying to gather the car
back up if you make a mistake and go in too fast. Everything happens
as it should, so if you do rush into a corner too quickly it's often
possibly to really finesse the steering, throttle and brake to come
out the other side in one piece.

Absolutely! It's great to get a corner right, but getting it wrong can be
just as satisfying...especially if you've already screwed the lap up and
aren't too worried about the time. In fact I think getting the corners
wrong shows GPL's strengths better than when you get it right.
