I still don't see this happening. papy has enough problems with the hacks
that are floating around the net...why would they give people the means
of making real tracks?

Stop on by, what can it hurt?
You can try if ya want, but It aint going to happen. Papyrus won't make it
for several reasons, one being Daytona. Your best bet in the possibility of
getting a editor is to hope that our sim racing community will be able to
come out with one as many of us will work hard to improve the game from day
one for the features we al like. Weather they are fictional features or not.
% track editor. If enough people e-mail we might get a track editor.
The only way Papy will make a track editor is if everyone that wants one
sends them $10,000 (preferably cash). If enough people send in the
dough, we just might get a version that is bug free and even comes with
documentation and technical support. They just aren't going to waste
their resources (which = $$$$) for something for which they won't get a
return. While Papy folks may be in the sim making business because they
have passion for it, their real passion is $$$$$$$$. They gotta keep
the kids clothed and food on the table.
Unless Papyrus has taken another approach to track building and have
actually created an full-blown program, don't expect them to take the
time to create a program to market to a narrow niche. How many copies
would they have to sell of a track editor to get a return on the
investment?
So save the those bits and bytes you will waste on the e-mail and go
hack yourself a track editor.
