Driving Game at Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas

Has anyone ever played the Indy Car Speedway at the Sahara hotel in Las
Vegas?  It was the most realistic racing simulator that I have ever
experienced.  Wrap around screen, full motion platform, etc.

If so, does anyone have any information about this simulator.  Who makes
it?  Are there any other places to go in the US to drive it?  Etc.

Thanks.

I got to play both the oval and road course.  I'm not an oval fan, but the
oval was more fun.  I crashed too much in the road course one to have any
fun...  One thing I didn't like about it was the image quality.  It looked
pretty good watching others drive it, but when I sat in the***pit, the
image seemed like it was a little out of focus -- kind of dizzying...

I played the ovals over and over and over.. The road course is the dizzy
one, it was the first time I've raced a sim on an oval and it was far easier
than the road course due to the inability to realize just how close I was to
the barriers on the road course.

I managed good times, laps around 215, but I don't know how they did the 225
lap that they claim is a pro!  Allot of accidents coming out of the pits...
That can cost a good lap speed racing with some minor damage..

Got to admit that the racing was kool especially when you can actually look
in the mirrors and see the car that you just passed..

Note: I raced some of the employees, they raced on the apron around the
turns... Thought it was crazy at first, they were passing me in the turns??
Hadn't it been for a crash they would have won..  Never tried it as it was
my last night in Vegas when I learned that...

No idea who makes it.  Sahara is the only place I've ever seen or heard of
it.  Apparently, from their advertising before it opened, it cost over 12
Mil to build.

Silicon Motor Speedway has NASCAR sims around the country that are better,
IMHO.

I thought so too, but after the Richard Petty Experience at LVMS, I think it
did a good job of simulating the real blur at that speed.

Saw the IRL race at LVMS, and 225's were common among the front runners.  I
imagine it would be possible on the sim with a sh*t load of money to
practice...

I went several months ago and MAN what a rush!!  I could really FEEL
the car accelerate and when it lost traction!!  What a rush.  I agree
the graphics sucked, but the feedback was so intense I didn't really
notice.  I couldn't afford to do it more than once, tho  :^{ .

It's fun the first few times.  Not so sure of its "realism" though.  The
graphics weren't so great compared to what you can get on a moderately powerful
home PC these days; that's quite a bummer.
