Die ultimativen DEL/DEB-Add-Ons fr NHL99
Papyrus (David Kaemmer, I think) decided that, unless the weather
characteristics could be portrayed as realistic (to go with the realism of
the physics) then dry and sunny skies would be the norm.

If anything I said is wrong or not exactly right, please correct me.

And have no peripheral vision (or at least even less than currently)? :)
However, I concur it will be nice to see a sim that the weather isn't an
effect, but a condition that lessens and worsens as the race progresses (or
moreso, then entire race weekend)

As I said, you obviously haven't played F1 97. It even includes tear
offs!
As for Flight Unlimited, if the weather effects were anything like
they were in FU2, it was the best weather computers have ever had to
cope with. I could swear that when I touched the screen I felt
condensation.

:>It happens that it never rained during any of the races at the F1
:>season of 1967...
: Actually, it was wet and drizzly for the race at Mosport. Read the report
: from Motor Sport magazine at
: http://www.isanski.freeserve.co.uk/frameset.htm.
: Dave Ewing
"Clark was using his usual car, 49/2, while Hill had the choice of 49/1 or
49/3; whichever he did not want would be used by E. Wietzes, a local
driver who knows the circuit well but who had not handled anything more
powerful than a GT40."
Yeesh! Imagine Joe Sports Car Driver being given the keys to Schumacher's
T-car at the start of the US Grand Prix next year. Wietzes' qualifying
time was within 9% of Hill's though.

wouldn't it be great if when following a lotus, its engine gave way,
dropped a lot of oil, and perhaps continued to leave a trail as it
limped its way back to the pits. marshalls with red/yellow striped
flags, lesser drivers (me!) taking no notice and spinning off into the
boonies.
one for gpl2 perhaps?
