Tire compounds in GP2 ?

Hi there,

I was playing aroung with GP2 last night, after a long break from the
game....when I came upto the screen where you look at the plank & tire wear. On
the bottom it said 'Tyre compound: A'. I rememberr F1GP having options to change
the compound, but haven't seen a similar option on GP2.

Is there one, and am I missing it somewhere?

In 1994, the teams had no choice but to accept what Goodyear brought
to the Grand Prix.

The 1994 season didn't feature different tire compounds to choose from... (only
wets)

Well it did really because Goodyear had four differnt tyre compounds to
choose from that year A,B,C,D they would take according to the
characteristics of the circuit, but all teams did use the same compound
of tyre.

According to the editor that comes with the track pack from IA the cc
cars are using A,B and C compounds at various tracks in GP2. D is listed
but no tracks are using it. All the teams use the same compound at any
track.

The reason you can not choose tire compounds in GP2 is that the teams
themselves couldn't choose tire compounds that year. It was Goodyear that
chose which tires to bring and so the game follows that.
