Question:

HAWAII QUESTION!!!!!! FOR NASCAR 1.....

Do you all consider it legal or illegal to put 2 gallons
of gas in your qualifying setups.  Run out .6 tenths
of a gallon and save it.  This will give you 1.4 gallons
at Taladega and allow you to qualify faster..

Now I am doing this within the parameters of the game.

I am not using any FRACTIONAL 3rd party program...

Don Wilshe, IVGA

PS.     I am the MESSENGER and I am asking a questions.
I always just put in 2 gallons....

You are in violation of AOL's Terms of Service agreement
regarding the use of newsgroups.  Consider this a friendly
warning, as if you continue to use foul and inappropriate language
in your posts, I will submit your user-id for TOS violation.

NEWSGROUP TERMS OF SERVICE VIOLATIONS
Participating successfully in newsgroups is a matter of common
sense and courtesy. Most America Online members are able to
use their own sense of what is appropriate to guide their behavior.
However, there will always be innocent, inadvertant postings;
there will also always be malicious, intentional postings.  While it is
not always clear which is the case, certain activities will result in an
America Online member receiving a Terms of Service warning or
more severe action.

INAPPROPRIATE POSTS.
Each Newsgroup focuses on a particular set of topics. Posts not
related to these topics are not appreciated by the participants. It is
important that America Online members become familiar with the
culture and guidelines of a particular Newsgroup BEFORE
posting. Doing so will make your experience with newsgroups
much more pleasant.

TERMS OF SERVICE ACTIONS
Most valid complaints against a member will result in the offending
article(s) being canceled and the America Online member
receiving a Terms of Service warning. Additionally, your access
to newsgroups may be restricted depending on the nature and
severity of the violation.

Second instances of abuse will result in your account and all
screen names associated with it being restricted from newsgroups
access. Second instances of commercial abuse of newsgroups, or
of commercial chain letters, will result in your termination from
America Online.

Third instances of abuse will result in your termination from
America Online.

America Online also reserves the right to either restrict access to
newsgroups or terminate accounts for severe cases of Newsgroup
abuse. This would include what is known as "spamming", which is
the act of posting large numbers of (usually irrelevant) messages
to numerous newsgroups.

Sincerely,

Marc J. Nelson - iRACE - AOL

You know, working for an ISP leads me to applaud the commentary on this
persons posting...but personally, I think its reall annoying to have to
sift through a TOS announcement from and AOL flunky....its a newsgroup and
yes it should be kept clean, but email these announcements. dont POST
them....

christ, there is enough spam out there without adding AO-Hell's BS to it.

IMO Yes.  The program in its' original form will allow a person to do this
so why souldn't it be legal.  I used to do it all the time when I raced
hawaii and know of many other people who did it.

Now, if it took some manipulation of the program code to do this, I would
say no it is not legal, but if a person is bright (doent take a rocket
scientist) enough to figure this out, Go For It!!

I guess this will be a moot point once an online N2 series begins
(once=weeks, months, years?) since you always have to qualify with a topped
off tank.
