Best PS2 racers?

I know this may be blasphemy here, but what are the best (as in, most
realistic) racing games for the PS2?  I obviously have GT3, which I think is
terrific, so I'm just looking for other games along the same lines... I
prefer the more realistic side, though if it's an arcade racer with some
realism elements, that's fine (like the NFS series).  I've been reading the
thread on TIR.
I've heard Pro Race Driver isnt that great, though it sure sounded
promising.

I hear Nascar Thunder 2003 is actually quite good on the PS/2.  Much better
than XBox or PC.

So I've heard...

Sprint Cars - World of Outlaws 2002 is very good if you're into that kinda
thing.

Stuntman actually has some good physics and is imensley fun :) Burnout can
be fun, although not realistic, F355 Challenge is realistic, but dated, and
I heard VRally 3 is good and WRC Xtreme.

Thanks,
Alex

You will probably like these:
Ferrari F355 Challenge
Need For Speed:Hot Pursuit 2
V-Rally 3
NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona (from the makers of Viper Racing)

I will reserve judgment for Pro Race Driver until it is available.
Of course, the Logitech Driving Force wheel is recommended for any racing game

For an extremely unusual, ***ive arcadish PS2 game in a realistic
setting, I would highly recommend Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero.. It's
my absolute favorite racer on PS2, and I have quite a lot of them.

I did have 2 questions about this.  It's USB correct?  So would it also work
with my PC?
Also, what would be a good way of setting this up for use with my PS2?  I
sit in one of those video rocker chairs (some people call them banana
chairs), and my TV is only a foot and a half above the floor.  Would I need
to build some sort of platform to mount the wheel and pedals to, so they
would be secure?

The wheel can be mounted on a table top, but it also comes with an attachment,
so you can hold it between your legs.  Yes, the wheel works on the PC.  You can
download the drivers at http://www.wingmanteam.com

Sounds good... it looks like I'd also be able to lean the pedals up agains
my TV stand and use them that way.  Maybe I'll ask for this for x-mas.
