This is spooky,

I came to this newsgroup because I might be buying Nascar 4 but was
wondering whether I'll be missing out on something with the European or
international version. Then I see this post, thinking 'hey, someone with the
same name posting something', and asking exactly what I was looking for.
Anyway, not interesting for anybody but me, I do hope someone can answer the
question.

Sorry....The two versions functionally are identical.
however neither version has a full compliment of licensed drivers and the
Euro version doesn't have the manufacturers licensed either.  So instead of
seeing The Dodge, Ford, Chevy and Pontiac logos, I think you just see a
Chassis 1 , 2, 3, &4.    This is not a big deal...I haven't done any
checking yet, but the same situation existed with the American release of
Nascar99 and private folks had patches and utilities to swap out the missing
logos.  Already there are plenty of cars and drivers to fill up the field
with real Winston Cup drivers available at several websites.
Highcompression and the Pitwagon are two such places.  But the online, and
single player racing is the same....make sure you get the proper patch for
whatever version you buy and also keep your eye open for a second patch.
