I don't suppose you run in 640*480 do you, because then you wouldn't ever
see this problem.

No, the 7.17 drivers didn't make a difference :(

I'd really like to get to the bottom of this though, if you don't mind
answering a few questions-

Can I ask which OS you have?
Do you run 640*480?
Are you using the beta2 OpenGL renderer? (there was a beta1 OpenGL renderer,
but I don't have it anymore)  The beta2 renderer zip file is 66.2 k.
Do you use any video card tweaking utilities, such as NVMax or RivaTuner?
Which version of GPL are you using?

If you could answer any of those questions, it would be really helpful :)
