Folks, we're very sorry to say that The Pits is temporarily down due to
server problems, and we cannot say when we'll be back online.  In the
meantime, you can use http://www.racesimcentral.net/, however, be aware,
that was only intended as a backup server (thank goodness we had it)
and never to be the main site.

In the meantime, we're going to revise The Pits and when we get it back
online, it should be better than ever.  We're sorry for
the 'stagnation' that seems to have been apparent over the last few
months, but I've recently quit my 14 year career with the USAF, went
job hunting, moved house, and innumerable other things, and since The
Pits is a 'hobby' as opposed to a commercial site, it has suffered
somewhat.

If anyone has any good ideas about server hosting, please let me know

size, and approx. 1.6 Gig/day bandwidth...so it needs a fairly
substancial site to support it.

Cheers!

You can try www.gxhosting.com . There rates were about the best we found when looking for a host.

Should I place more files for download at my SCGT page? This way there
would be less stress on the Norway site? Maybe I could give you FTP
access and you could start dumping stuff over?
