is there any way of getting F1RC to work in win2k? mine hangs and goes to
the desktop just before the game starts... i can get the game to start only
if i delete the saves folder, but obviously i lose all my config
(controller, graphics, etc etc). is there any sotr of workaround?

Hey Kasper,

If you have Service Pack 2.0 run the game in Compatibility Mode.

A great feature in Win2k that not too many people are aware of:

1) To do this you need Service Pack 2.0 Installed.
2) Then right click on the desktop icon for F1RC and select the
Compatibility TAB.
3) Then select the check box for Run in Compatibility mode
3) Select and Test to run in either Windows 95 or Windows 98 mode.

Good luck.

Also, with no service packs I can run it in Win2K. Sometimes crashes
back to the desktop when trying to start a race, but a 2nd run will
help.
