Hi everybody,
big news. thrustmaster has announce thier intention to co-develop a
force feedback steering wheel with ***net systems.
this system will simulate the feel of the road.
with the assistance of some major software publishers  the system will
be able to simulate accuratley the feel of skids , collisions terrain
and other driving conditions on the next generation of driving
simulators.
other devices using force feedback technology are also on the horizon

On a similar note, it was promising to see that back in April Microsoft announced
their acquisition of EXOS, a developer of force feedback technology for game
control devices.  From this, it can be assumed that force feedback will become a
standard subset of MS's DirectInput, thus allowing Win95 game programmers to
easily take advantage of this new technology.
