: Howdy,
: I wanted to create a car set so I ran "paintkit joe", I then got
: an error something like "Can not copy a file". So I copied cars/car95.dat
: to joe/joe.dat, then brought it in to paintlit, painted my car, saved
: it. When I try to read it in to ICR2 I get an error "Invalid car set".
: Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone ran into this before?
: Any help is appreciated.
: Thanks in advance. Please send me email directly, I don't frequent
: this group too often.
You are close to the solution. When you run paintkit the command line
needs to include the "directory" name of a valid *.dat file. The *.dat
file in the directory must have the same name as the directory and must
reside under the cars directory. However, this directory must also
contain a valid drivers2.txt file. For added measure also copy the
drivers.txt file to this directory. Adding these 2 files should solve
the "invalid car set" error.
For more information on using paintkit see the help file at
http://www.teleport.com/~mcarver/autosim.htm, the direct URL for this
file is http://www.teleport.com/~mcarver/icrptkit.htm
