WCSII Download Under Windows 95?

by Mark Kratz » Sun, 29 Sep 1996 04:00:00

How can I run the Mark2 download program for my WCSII under Windows
95?  The program reports that it is downloading, but nothing actually
happens to my WCSII.

I know some will reply to just run the download in MS-DOS mode.
However, I do not want to do that, since I am playing games while
connected to the Internet KALI and I would lose my connection.

Thanks.

I run the WCSII right from Win95 all the time. No DOS reboot. I run it from
a WIN95 DOS window in Win95. I have joked that it is actually a good WIN95
programing utility for the WCSII :-) You should be able to just double click
on the executable from an explorer. Your exact problem sounds like some
hardware conflict or something. Have you tried downloading files to your
WCSII when the modem is not being used? I have the Command & Control 1.39
and it does work. I have use it several times a week from Win95 (for almost
a year now).
