N2 THANKS!

To all those that shot some insight my way over the past week or so
THANKS!  Seeing as my interest in auto sims had waned some time ago, but
now seems to be reviving, I wanted to get caught up on some things that
had no doubt passed me by, as well as solve some problems. Since asking
for input concerning problems/questions fron r.a.s.'ers, here's what
I've learned:

1. Wheel jerk/calibration-loss: Turned out to be that my T2 was
absolutely, totally worn out. After all, over the past 3 years, it had
been raced 1000's of hours. So, it has been replaced with a Nascar Pro.
I'm thoroughly satisfied with it, and it has been a VAST improvement in
control, and has raised my enjoyment level by a quantum. Lesson: Don't
fight tired equipment, replace it.

2. 98' WC/BGN carsets quest: Found 'em, and they're great.

3. Texas Condo patch: Found it, haven't DL'd or installed as yet.

4. Car selection problem in N2: Turns out I corrupted some files thru
bungling. N2 was long overdue for a fresh re-install anyway... so I did.
Spent part of an evening reinstalling N2 and all the patches, add-ons,
carsets, etc. Up and going again, smoother than ever.

5. GP2 '98 carset search: Found 'em and they're fantastic. Too fast for
my turtle skills... got to slow 'em up a bit using the newfangled
program "GP2 Edit". (That program is another tidbit shared by a
r.a.s'er!)  BTW, it's a blast shifting the GP2 car via the steering
wheel buttons on my Nascar Pro... makes it a totally different driving
experience than shifting using the stick as in ICR2.

So you can see, with the help of those out there in "r.a.s.land", I'm
off and running and having fun again. On down the road, I plan to add a
3dfx board so I can wail with some of the new stuff that will be coming
out.  Again, THANKS to all that helped answer my questions!
