F1RS "Steering Limit"...Someone *Must* Know!

by Dave Ma » Sun, 18 Oct 1998 04:00:00

The U.S. manual for F1RS does not have any mention of the what the
"Steering Limit" button does in the "Configuration...Controllers"
menu.  What does it do?  What effect does it have on a wheel/pedal
controller configuration?  How do people use it in relation to the
"Steering Sensitivity" slider on the same menu?

I've posted this question in the past, but no one has ever replied.
:0(  There's also no mention of it in the FAQ on the Unoffiical F1RS
site.

Many TIA.

Never found anything on it either.  I can't recall telling a difference set
with it set one way or another, but didn't do a lot of testing.  I don't
think anyone really knows, never seen it mentioned.  I think it's just to
mess with our heads <g>

Keep it turned off with wheel and pedals, its for keboard players and
limits your turn in ability when using w/pedals.

Correct it is for keyboard players only.

It limits the steering-moving to a certain angle.
So your slides are wearing the tires less (you can hear the
difference), but you may have some problems to get round sharp
corners, e.g. in Monaco.

Hope this helps
Jens

Forget my former mail.
