Try downloading the ProPanel app from ThrustMaster's web site at
www.thrustmaster.com  - it's under the support section for wheels.  This
application installs to your control panel and provides more accurate
calibration (meaning it writes the actual joystick values to the windows
registry).

You need to go to Thrustmaster's site and d/l the Thrustmaster Pro Panel.
It is an excellent program that will manage all of your joysticks. It
allows you to use the T2 without the Win95 adapter as well as allowing you
to swap joysticks on the fly without restarting Windows. I highly recommend
it even if you don't have any Thrustmaster products. It is much better than
the joystick manager that comes as a part of 95.

He should also go to the device manager and make sure his gamecard or
soundcard joystick port is not conflicting with other resources.  ACM cards and
plug and play don't get along very well.  If you get a message that your stick
is either not connected or working properely, it "MIGHT" be a resource conflict
under the Win95 Plug&Play.
