You are quite right. The details in some of the aspects of GP2 are
astounding, in my view. I was totally impressed by the outside view
on the replay of Hot laps. The drivers turning their heads, the way
damage is portrayed, the smoke, the AMAZING detail of the outside
view of the cars, the fire breathing tailpipes, on and on.
This is a STUNNING graphics achievement, again, in my view.
I was wondering about the helmets and color schemes, and am glad to
hear that they are accurate. They sure are attractive.

BTW, the MOST astounding thing I've ever seen in any sim is the
MONTE CARLO track...that is a work of art. It is truely amazing
that it is there, like that, and that it actually runs while you
are driving the car. I have a P6 and can run it with full detail
on, simply stunning...can not be over stated...
