In the manual it says install the software first b4 plugging in the hardware.
Did you guys do that?

yes. had this problem myself when reinstalling my machine ...
unplug the lwff, deinstall every bit of the profiler, drivers etc. and
clean the registry as well, delete file leftovers. after this, download
newest drivers from www.wingmanteam.com, install them and plug the lwff
in when told. keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Yep i did. My cd's ver is 3.1. I d/led the latest version from logitech's site,
ver3.3, didn't work as well. :( Anyway I'll bring it back to the shop this
afternoon and hopefully i won't embarrass myself!
