Go directly to your nearest software store and buy GPL :)

Seriously though, GP2 doesn't support network play, and
from what I hear, modem play is pretty weak.  GPL play
over the internet is light years ahead.

Contrary to what you read in some other responses, GP2 CAN be played
over a network. If I'm right, the GP2LAP utility
(http://www.xs4all.nl/~rsdi/) supports 2 player racing over an IPX
network. So in theory you could combine this with KALI to play over
the internet.

Performance and reliability is another issue, but it won't hurt to
try........
