Hi

Yesterday I drove my first race online on vroc
What a blast !!!!!!
The one thing I don't get is how in the world do you guys have time to chat
while going 100+ miles an hour ?
Do you have  " sorry " and so programmed under a key or do you type real
quick :) ??

some have a programmed key for that purpose (especially for "np" or
"ta") like me as I am using the wingman profiler. for that
"sorry"-thing: I only use this button, if I am sorry for what happend
behind or alongside me without being my fault. this could be a warping
car hitting me when I get back on the track and I could not see it
before or someone losing control of his car while trying to overtake me
into a corner where I am going wide. when I am really guilty (when
stupidity takes control ...) I usually type an explanation and beg for
forgiveness by hand :-)

Some people just type... try racing Ross MacGregor at Silverstone... he
types running commentary on the race action he's involved in.

Myself, if I even think of pressing a key on my keyboard I'm in the scenery,
so I'm the silent type online (as long as I'm moving that is ;-)).

Or Roger Pointl... raced him at Spa about a year ago, he was typing
whole paragraphs as we went through Masta and the rest :-)

I often wonder too how ppl manage to drive and type, I cant even drive and
drink :). Sometimes tho I believe it's a friend or relative sitting beside
the driver typing some crap... chat in online-races is very annoying,
especially in GPL where you need every little bit of concentration to stay
on track. The only chat you will ever see from me is "jhfjztfouh?jgt7?o",
which of course, as everyone knows, means: "Maaki is approaching Masta-Kink"
:))

Online chat always starts with "(SR#17)", ect.  Does everyone type in thier
initials and car no. or does this part happen automaticlly?

It's automatic.  This is the originator initials and car number, so you
will know who just said "SORRY" and will know that if not you, somebody
just got punted accidentally.
