Turn off dont sync buffer swaps to monitor refresh rate..for me fps
increase of 4 frames per second.. dont notice any problems hope this
helps some of you.

% Is this in GPL? Where?

It is in your Video Properties setting for your 3D card.  However, most
of the Voodoo2 property sheets don't have this option.  You can download
the new reference control panel from the 3DFX website which includes
this setting.
