1) Has anyone tested NASCAR with the US Robotics Sportster 28.8 Vi modems? These
modems supposedly allow voice and data communications at the same time. If they
work with NASCAR modem games (allowing reliable fast data transmission and voice at
the same time) my friend and I will buy them tomorrow. I'd love to cuss him live
during a race...
2) Do you have any suggestions for usage in/under Windows 95. I'm using a DOS reboot
with the same config/autoexec files I used before Win 95:
CONFIG.SYS: <empty>
AUTOEXEC.BAT: SET SOUND=C:\OLDFILES\SB16
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 T6
C:\OLDFILES\SB16\DIAGNOSE /S
C:\OLDFILES\SB16\SB16SET /P /Q
C:\OLDFILES\S64\UTIL\S64MODE MONITOR
CD \
CD GAMES\NASCAR
My old DOS (6.22) is gone. The game runs fine except during modem games. We are
getting "twitchy" computer controlled cars and "phantom" smoke and wrecks (you see
smoke/wreck occur but immediately the cars are back in line and no yellow flag or
other consequences happen). I can run it directly from Windos 95 but the graphics
are slowed a bit.
Thanks in advance...
