Is West Racing's Racing Legends vapourware?

A poster asked whether the West brothers' Racing Legends project was vapourware. Most replies were mocking, comparing it to World Sports Cars and joking about the West Racing merchandise shop. Jan Verschueren argued that 'wait and see' was the only defensible position.

Hi, What do think about racing legends ? Is it again vapourware like "world sport cars" ? I think, the west brother are just dreaming. They give us no facts, pictures, movies or something else. Their website is poor. What do you think ? Could racing legends be the second racing simulation after GPL, or is it something like "Duke nukem forver" / "wait forever" ? Cheers, Uli

Whether one is positive or negative towards the project is purely an opinion, which can be argued, but not conclusively proven either way. Jan. =---

I'd love to see what you come up with for a Swashplate, and how you integrate it into that ceiling fan. You _do_ have a Swashplate, right ? -Larry "iksteh" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3dca331e$[email hidden]...

That's why I figured I'd ask instead, their message boards made this place look perfectly sane the last time I visited them Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy http://www.theuspits.com "A man is only as old as the woman he feels........" --Groucho Marx--

So I take it the shop is up and running? -Good. Jan. =--- PS.: when you think about it, buying from the West Racing online shop is a win-win situation, whatever happens: either you were there, supporting RL from the beginning, or you got a momento to the biggest simracing hoax in history. Neither side can lose. Actually, that's pretty clever by Chris and Tony. Wonder if it *is* all just smoke and mirrors... <vwg>
Yeah, but then the only joke is on those who bought into it! From there you can click on "find all posts by this member". Makes navigating that shite forum much easier. Also, pretty much any time they post there's a related update on the main part of the website. Last one, IIRC, is from early October. Jason
