Flame warSuspicious lap times in an NR2003 league

Pete Reston posted results of a driver running unusually fast laps in a King of the Mountain league race and a chat log of Kevin King's friends discussing low rear weight setups. King, Don Wilshe and Pete argued over setups, aids and double standards, while Bill Bollinger said the times were not unrealistic for the conditions.

Its a combination of springs, bars and weight. Then you need to adjust castor, camber and tires to keep you from getting loose when exiting the turn. One thing that is being overlooked by many is tire pressures. No aids needed if done right. You will have to alter your driving line depending where you are in the run. Pete "Paul D. Bill, I realize that but he was hitting 191's on lap 30. As soon as anyone started to gain he seemingly picked the pace up by dropping 3/4 of sec off his lap times. He even made a pass 3 wide in the corner getting the first and second place car at the time. He was terrible at his pit stops and kept getting Bf'd. There were some very good drivers in the race several quit in disgust. Pete "Bill Bollinger" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > The weather was cloudy Pete. > > >

I went and looked at his stats in the league and it appears on short runs where no pits are required he is gone. But last night they ran a 50% race and where others were doing pitting laps under green in 42 seconds (if I recall) he was 70+ seconds. He then had to come back around(must have been a BF and had a 90 sec lap) He then was 3 laps down with 20 some laps to go and ended up on the lead lap by the end. He was gaining 4 seconds a lap and the leader at the end of the race only had 3 laps more on his tires than the Fart. Paul: I beleive Derek Woods and JG24 and they swear they dont use aids.. why do i believe it as i have got setups from Pete Reston that can run 1680 without using aids as well. No remember.... Got the best RF tire wear from the 1680.. lol.. Not the Aides... You guys was giving me a hard time for using aides which are suppose to be slower in Nascar 2002, but I was faster.. So I tried turning them off and I got faster. Remember.. Lets do for KK Stock Car Racing 101 Balance the car with Forward Weight.. that control tire wear on the right side.. Now can you remember this!! Why did i do this cause Derek and JG24 use 1730 and i was able because of my wheel run less forward weight.. Now you call me cheap for running these weights but its ok for Derek and JG24.. You call me cheap for doing what is only in the game. ITS IN THE GAME... DIG IT OUT AND USE IT!! Oh so he's done it more than once. Well I mean the way I see it. When I ran KOTMs you'd have a week full of speeds, avg race laps, blaps, you knew what people ran and what was good, then when you got that 1 person who was 3-4 tenths faster than anyone all week, that's when it gets weird. I mean that's like hundreds of people, then one person pops up and blows everyone away. That's when it gets strange to me. "Pete" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:XcJha.480$[email hidden]...
