Project Wildfire Trans Am mod screenshots for NR2003

Jason Moyer posted screenshots of Project Wildfire's Trans Am mod for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season, prompting enthusiasm and jokes. Bruce Kennewell objected that modern Trans Am with Corvettes and Jaguars was not the classic series, while others defended the current championship. It was noted that Papyrus's forthcoming patch would add Busch and truck physics and that the group had just released its Busch (GNS) mod.

TransAm with a *Corvette*?!!! NEVER! Well, certainly not in the TransAm that I relate to.......the original series. Let's have a TransAm version which depicts the Mustang's, Camaro's, Firebird's, AMC Javelin's, Alfa Romeo's, BMW's..........ahhhhh, THAT was TransAM. :) But Corvettes? Bleccchh! Bruce. Peter Egan, a writer who I think you would get along with quite well due to his love of all things old and mechanical, would probably give a big thumbs up to the Corvettes. He wrote a great article years ago about the thunderous 'Vettes blasting around Elkhart Lake, together with the Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds etc. Granted, those 'Vettes were big-block V8s, I think, but as long as it has a fat V8 up front, and can wag its ass, who cares what it is? Even the current Corvettes, with all their technology, still make that same great sound. It's all rock and roll to me.... Stephen
"Bruce Kennewell" said > TransAm with a *Corvette*?!!! NEVER! Not only that... they got the Panoz Esperante, Mangusta, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang and "Jaguar XKR" too... Funny how many awesome racing-series they are able to "ruin" - eh... First Can-Am, then Trans-Am, and now - Cart.... :( Sad - but true. -- ed_

Take a respected name for what was, at its peak, a fabulous series and demean it by tacking it onto a smorgasbord of modern "stuff". Sad.....so sad. Bruce. Stunning. Very deep, very pithy. And your site is equally mesmerising, Voltaire. No doubt about you French philosophers - you certainly have a way with words....or something. Yes, they're own web site with the GNS mod is down, however the links posted was to their forums which are hosted by HCmotorsports and works just fine, and I can't say I've noticed it being down at all, I usually drop in there a couple of times a day just to keep an eye on what the "other" guys are up to :-) Some amusing threads over there btw and I blame Bill Gates as usual, there was a time when you needed an IQ above a certain level to get on the internet, I particularly enjoyed this post.... "Oh, don't shove you "power" on me BOBBY. Go ahead and ban me if it make you feel like a man. I have several ways to get back on these forums, and you wanna know the best part? You won't even know it's me" ...directed at one of the Moderators, apart from the grammatical errors, I really don't think it's wise to dare a Moderator to ban you, guess he didn't know how many ways a Moderator can prevent a certain individual to get back on a message board Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "goyl at nettx dot no" http://www.theuspits.com "A man is only as old as the woman he feels........" --Groucho Marx--
