Flame warThanks for a car paint job sparks Simmons-redTed exchange

McWhom publicly thanked John Simmons for a car paint scheme, prompting redTed to tell him to search Simmons's past posts. The exchange became a trade of insults between redTed and Simmons. Goy Larsen and Tony Rickard defused it with Monty Python jokes, and another driver praised Simmons's help.

Hey man, Don't know when I will really be able to enjoy it as I am not able currently to do a hardware upgrade but I just want to thank you for a kick ass car. I would like to get the psp file, if you post it on the website I will grab it. Thanks again in advance. Sean

then > come back here and say he never had it coming . > > There is without a doubt a group here that have problems with John. I suppose if you look around you will find where I have done things that was considered unreasonable and there are poeple out there that would jump at the chance to get back at me. Does that mean that people I meet today should be told about what I have done in the past so they can also hate or abuse me? You never know, I may be more like John than you care to consider :-) I will take my personal experience with John as my guide. Besides, the actions of the people (in rascar) that were working their own agenda against John have shown their own bad side. My Opinion: DaveGF, does not think he makes any driving mistakes. No matter how many people point out an error he makes, Dave does not make any driving mistakes. Mitch, Basically a reasonable enough seeming guy. Definite issues with John, so much so that he brought this latest arguement to ras to get the help he needed to fragment and destroy rascar. Resorts to personal attacks against me, makes unfounded desparaging remarks about me because I disagree with his tactics and publicly support John. In fact, he made negative personal statements about EVERYONE that supported John. John, Opinionated, overbearing, forceful, able to argue a point without resorting to personal attacks, unwilling to change his mind on issues he cares about, not unwilling to admit to mistakes. I can deal with a stubborn s.o.b., hell, I am one. I can also admit to my mistakes without having to change my opinion. I like what I like and I want what I want. This whole issue that has been fought out here is about personalities, not racing. I don't really care, I love a good debate. Some of you may have noticed that :-) I am done with sim racing for now more because I have determined that my system just cannot handle the framerate needed for me to be able to drive well online. I will still read this group as I have now become interested in many of the topics and people. I would expect you will soon find me in the flight sim group as well as I have several of those games and am currently loading them up. Sean

JS never resorted to personal attacks, he started with them. Many, many times. Abusive, vulgar and bigoted. Not traits I admire in a person. If you do, then good luck to you.

I do not need to go looking for his bad side, I will see it if it is there. He has not done this to me and at this point I can only assume that when presented with rational arguement, John will reply with same. That has been *my* experience. You are certainly allowed your opinion and I will accept your point that he has acted poorly in the past. I *will not* act based on his past actions that I have no personal experience with. Hey! There's some funny shit in those old posts - like the time when I accused you of having a sloping forehead and a single eyebrow that started at one ear, and ended at the other. C'mon, that was funny as hell! > There is without a doubt a group here that have problems with John. Well, people don't need to be told. They see one or two people getting jumped on, and they assume that the person being jumped on must be the local whipping boy, so it's automaticaly okay to join in on the fun. > You never know, I may be more like John than you care to consider :-) Now THAT is a scary thought... :) > I will take my personal experience with John as my guide. Yep. I've NEVER seen Dave amake a mistake on the track. It's warp, really! I actually submitted an idea to Mattel to produce a Dave Fisher action figure, but they didn't think today's parents would let their kids play with a toy that bears a striking resemblance to a fresh turd. > Mitch, Basically a reasonable enough seeming guy. That was a touching tribute. I think you should stop now. You're making me tear up. :) I would include a translation of my response for redTed's benefit, but it's really too much trouble to just type it all the way out. However, through the marvels of modern technology, I can easily compress it down to something even his limited intellect can focus on long enough to read it: "duuuuuuhhhhh"

The redneck comes crawling out of his hole............... What's up, Simmo ? Still can't admit you were so utterly and completely wrong ? After all this time on your blacklist and you come back with that ? You're a disgrace trailer trash everywhere. I guess what goes around comes around, eh ? Kicked off your own server ..What's that all about ? Don't tell me. You were being an arrogant, abusive and condescending twat again . Well, I never. Btw, I downloaded those replays DGF posted.......was that you in front weaving all over the place like a demented monkey ? What a complete dick. Were you doing that deliberately, or are you just old to keep a grip on the FF wheel ? As for you being funny, well that's a matter of personal taste I suppose. I know you think you're funny, and that's fine. Bigots usually tend to love themselves to death.

Classic !!! We should probably move on to another movie though.... <spoken> Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown, And things seem hard or tough, And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft, <sung> And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough, Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving And reolving at nine thousand miles an hour. It's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned, The sun that is the source of all our power. Now the sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see, Are moving at a million miles a day, In the outer spiral arm, at fourteen thousand miles an hour, Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way. Our galaxy itself contains a hundred million stars; It's a hundred thousand light-years side to side; It bulges in the middle sixteen thousand light-years thick, But out by us it's just three thousand light-years wide. We're thirty thousand light-years from Galactic Central Point, We go 'round every two hundred million years; And our galaxy itself is one of millions of billions In this amazing and expanding universe. <waltz> Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding, In all of the directions it can whiz; As fast as it can go, that's the speed of light, you know, Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is. So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure, How amazingly unlikely is your birth; And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space, 'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth! Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "goyl at nettx dot no" http://www.theuspits.com "A man is only as old as the woman he feels........" --Groucho Marx--

I actually like John. Never met him, but I have his website as my homepage. He has helped me out a great deal in the online racing, and has personally taken time out of his personal life to work with me. He also has helped out many a peep with all of his paintjobs. There aren't too many that do it, and he has fun and puts a lot of time into his work. It is nice to see someone so non-p/c for once. Life is so boring now with all of this p/c crap. He speaks his mind, which is usually the truth, just others are afraid or don't care enough to mention it. Am I biased towards John...absolutely. We are fellow Texans and live not too far from eachother. If John hunts, I would hunt with him. If John fishes, I would fish with him. He has dogs and a harley or two. He's a normal guy. Probably just like a lot of us. He just likes to speak his mind, and some folks get turned off about that. That's ok in my book. I live in a heavily Baptist neighborhood, and I enjoy nothing more than drinking beer in my driveway Sunday mornings when everyone is headed off to church. I use poison to kill anything I don't want living in my yard and I chew and spit tobacco wherever I feel like it. Possibly, some folks don't like me, but they don't post it in a newsgroup to make themselves feel better. Go ahead and spew your thoughts and feelings about John....or McWhom...or myself. I'll stand by John all of the way, except when he is operating dangerous power tools. Dave BTW - I don't really have John's webpage as my homepage...that would be too freaky.
