Sweepstake to guess the UK release date of GP2
A poster set up a joke sweepstake on the UK release date of the much-delayed Grand Prix 2, and many regulars claimed dates while mocking the delays. Members of developer Bizarre Creations joined in. The entry list was reposted with joke names on unclaimed dates.

I may as well pick my birthday for the date... :)

It would be more realistic to bet at the year GP2 is comeing out.
Something like:
1997
1998
1999
2000
If you guess i have forgotten 1996......, no I am realistic.
Thomas

I'll take June 28th
Bruno Schleich
Well, I'll plump for July 26th 199(_)
Robin Goodall
I'll take June 21st
Perhaps you should have included August and September at least.

dates listed. I don't plan on holding my breath for the release.
Actually, Aug 24, 1996 sounds more realistic to me. (i.e. Win95 year 1)
I'm not too optimistic on how good the program will be either. The
Microprose sims have been very good, however the Spectrum Holobyte car
sims have looked like bad arcade games. When I heard that SH took over
Microprose, my expectations dropped considerably. All I can say is, I
hope I'm wrong and it is a fantastic game that doesn't run like a sled
like NASCAR does.
