ICR: Better Standing Start?

Is there some way to get a better standing start in ICR? I usually floor
the gas and then hit return to start, but I usually wind up being passed
by 2 or 3 cars. Ideally, one would need to start at a higher RPM, but I
don't know if there is a way to do this. Any ideas? Thanx.

The one trick that I have found is to start the race, get your boost up as high
as possible and then do a Shift-R to restart the race.  Now when the race
starts you will have full boost and more power rather than starting with the
boost at 0.  You will still be passed by the AI cars however.

I have found that using a pace lap allows you to stay with the pack and
you are moving when the green flag drops

And you should be able to work out when the flag will drop and jump a few
drivers at the start to pick up a few free places!
