When I try to install NFSSE for Windows 95 it totally crashes on me. The
screen goes blank, then it gives some error message, and you have to "CLICK
ON OK TO TERMINATE THE APPLICATION", then it crashes. Can someone help me?

2 possibilities:
There is information about updating a specific Gateway Monitor
driver in a manual supplement included with the game. The game
installs video enhancement software, which conflicts with certain
video drivers. They give a web site where a less fussy updated driver
for that monitor is available, if you have the monitor. My guess is
that their install may affect other drivers besides the Gateway :(
The other is that the autoplay feature of windows '95 is intollerant
of the shortcomings of many cheaper CD-Rom drives/drivers. It has
screwed up GPII and NFS sessions for me. I recommend you always hold
down the "shift" key when inserting any CD, then access the D: drive
manually to start the install process. Do this later as well to run
the game. TIP: if you have "TweakUI" from Microsoft, you can turn
off the default for autoplay for data CD's! (get at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/software/powertoy.htm)
###
Try putting the monitor in 640x480 256 color mode before running or
loading the game.
Sometimes the game cannot switch modes... Had this problem
with a Diamond Stealth 64 PCI card.
