  I recently purchased GP2 and also downloaded the editor to install
the different carsets that are available but I cannot get the editor
to run.  I keep getting the error that the file ctl3d.dll is missing
from windows but when I check the directory it is in there.  I don't
know much about these kind of errors so any help would be appreciated.

Try getting the latest editor that is available, I currently have
v1.81 of the GP2Edit program written by Stephen Young which is
shareware/freeware? and available from most of the good gp2 websites.
