OT - CMOS Screen Saver problem

by Tim Deatherag » Mon, 09 Jul 2001 11:57:11

Hey Computer Gurus !

Thanks to the guys for helping me with the MS OE problem I had.

I have a Trend Mother Board with Award CMOS. When I had the computer in the
shop last week for an unrelated  problem,  the CMOS was changed and I now
have a black screen when the computer sits for 30 seconds or more.

Does anyone know what option,  I would change in the  "Power Management"
option in the CMOS setup????

As Always, THANKS !!!!!!!

I always change my settings in windows, never needed to play around
with the bios PM settings. Check them under "display properties -
screen saver" and make sure it's right there.

You can always disable PM in the bios if you want.

Can't remember what settings I use, but I rarely have a problem with
it. I shutdown the monitor after 20 mins, 99.9% reliable.
