Stupid TEN question...

Since the site isn't actually going under, but taking a change of
direction (still providing online games, only free), why don't they
just leave the N2 support there but make it free?
Sort of like most of the games on The Zone, but they could just make a
note that there is no support available except from other users in the
NASCAR forum, or whatever.

I've never used the service or seen the interface, so forgive me if
that sounds dumb.

On another similar note, The Zone has actually expanded, providing an
area to play old IPX games which don't have Direct Play.
Has anyone tried N2 there?

POGO is a business company, there is no need for them to be loosing money
continuing to support Nascar Racing 2 when we all know we will be running N3
in around 2weeks, even if the online racing multiplayer will be probably
inferior to the NROS.  Of course some people (like me) would pay to continue
racing N2, but we are not enough so that POGO can do business with us. The
server and bandwith we use could be used by them for much better and
rentable stuff. And we have no idea about SIERRA's contract for the NROS,
maybe they simply legally can't do it.  But every PC game will dissapear

free (ARC, Dark Sun Online)

There's nobody there really wanting to race, maybe 1 per week if your lucky.
I've tried with a NROS driver for testing, but the N2 normal multiplayer
client/server isn't really good and it's pretty warpy, even if Im on ADSL.
Wait a couple of weeks and race N3 against thousands of people :)
