Force GT Experiences??

I too have the wheel, almost 4 days now and sometimes it does act up like
gears grinding and locking up to the right.I have turned up the tension to
100% and still checking in the newsgroup about other problems and feedback
about this wheel.I certainly hope it does not break but if it does I also
have another wheel Logictech Formula Force to play with.If anyone has TM
Force GT,please post.I like this wheel and really don't want to return it.I
just want to know if this is normal and if there is a fix.

I just received my TM Force GT, and I need some feedback from anyone
else that has one.

For the mostpart, I like it.  However, I have noticed from time-to-time
the internal wheel gears sound like they are slipping (grinding).  I
have adjusted the force feedback from 100% to approximately 30-50%, and
it doesn't seem to happen as often - but it still happens.  My only
concern is if the gearing is slipping, it will only get worse.

I also had an instance where my wheel locked to the far right - and I
had to reinstall the device to correct.

Thanks for all comments!!

How does it drive in N2? Or does it work at all in N2? Did you have a Nascar
Pro and how does it compare to that?

Phillip

I was at one of my local computer stores today that sells used software.  I
picked up N2 for $15.  I tried to get it to work with my TM Force GT using
USB but it does not work at all.  I have not tried the serial port yet...
IMHO N2's graphics suck bad and that is with a Voodoo2 and a p2-450.  I hope
nascar revolution has a graphics engine similar to GPL.

Force GT Experiences??

Most of us concerned with N2 compatibility are actually NROS racers that
are stuck in the middle on this deal...

We can use an old technology wheel for our beloved on-line racing, but
that makes us live with old technology for newer games with neat
features.

Or, we can buy a new FF wheel that will not work with N2/NROS, and not
be able to play NROS but have all the neat goodies with the new games.

It sucks...

Since most of us are unwilling to give up NROS, we end up sticking with
the old Nascar Pro wheels, and forgoe the future:(

Or, some like me, have both wheels and cuss and grunt every time we have
to shut down, change hardware, change software settings, reboot, etc...
:)

If TEN/NROS would get with the future (yeah, right) we wouldn't have
this problem.

I've had two TM Force GTs and returned them both.  Both of the wheels were
useless in GPL due to the fact that the motion of the wheel was so crap, it
was jerky, too stiff (even at 0% force), and kept sticking.  Also the wheel
does not auto-centre in non-FF games, unlike the Microsoft FF wheel.  Other
than that it was fine :-)  The pedals were the best thing about it, nice
response, weighted so it doesn't slip too much and stiff springs.

Try the Microsoft FF wheel, it's got a really nice smooth movement, and has
an adjustable auto-centres in non-FF games.
