Problem reading TEST DRIVE 4 CD

I'm having a problem reading my TEST DRIVE 4 CD!
It lets me install the game, It lets me go through the options....but when
it comes to playing it, it tells me there's no CD in the drive!....oh...I
should also mention that the cd is...well...copied!
Could there be some coding within the original CD that doesn't allow you to
make copies??
