NR1999 Bummer

After practicing gpl for weeks, I created an itching for some door to door
nascar racing.  In hopes of curing my usb-device/nascar2 woes, I went out
and got Nascar 1999.  At the end of the install, it asked which version I
wanted to use, (windows, windows 3dfx, dos 3dfx, dos rendition, etc).  Since
I just replaced my voodoo rush with a stealth s220, I'm now between a rock
and a hard place.  Either race in software mode using my wheel, or race in
rendition-dos with the keyboard.....argh!  Software mode is so ugly these
days, but the wheel works fine.  I wasn't sure what commands to use to get
the dos rendition to work.  NR1999r with the -4bit command crashed the game,
but I did finally get it to work by just using the -dma command.  I didn't
try -dma -4bit as I wasn't sure what I was doing to begin with :)  The only
upside is that the guy who was going to buy my old T2 has decided he doesn't
have enough time to race, so he's giving it back.  I really dont' want to
shelf this beautiful red-gripped Logitech FF though.  Decisions, decisions.
I really need a social life.
