Eldred, too bad you couldn't finish. Did my wing settings help you at all in
the race? If you post your email I will send you my setup.

Thanks for hosting!

yes thanks for hosting.  I accidentally got the crome horn from Ian
which led to wing damage and something in the suspension let go...comming
around the last turn at 200mph and she yanked into the wall then the other
wall then the wall again..pinball style..
I was holding up Ian but I didn't get a chance to see his real speed
since he missed the practice.  Normaly I would have just moved over since
he was 3 to 4 seconds faster.  But I only found that out after he set
fastest lap midrace and I was already a spectator in the pits.

I *could* have finished - I parked the car without any damage.  I just got
tired of spinning ever few laps.  Being lapped within 7 laps didn't do much for
my motivation.  I was just driving around by myself, trying to stay out of the
way when leaders came by...  Borrring...

Damn it !!
I've done it again !!!! :(

Sorry Dave, I totally misjudged your braking point, I tried to swerve around
you but it just didn't happen :(
Just checked the replay, wasn't *quite* any contact from my view,  but it
was so close that the game would obviously pick it up.

Again, sorry for wrecking your race.

Hi Eldred:

   Thanks for hosting again.

On about lap 5 I touched the wall on the straight,
and brushed off the rear wing.  I didn't feel a thing.
That made turn 1 interesting.

The car was never right after that incident.  Another
spin, another lost wing, bad steering after leaving second
pit stop, time to park.

Eldred, I got back to the pit twice for repairs.  If
my car had been drivable I would have soldiered on to
give you someone to drive against.  Because you lose 10
seconds getting the server car out of our way, I did wait
for you halfway down Hulman Blvd on the first lap, as I
said I would.

I was hoping for a little more time at Indy with you
folks, but my problems were my own.  I deserved to loose
my wing on that wall, and it would have been unfair to
those who avoided contact with it if I hadn't.  This is
an example of vulnerability adding to the quality of the
race.  On balance, I still favor invulnerability.
Perhaps someone to race against would have kept you
interested.

   Where to next week?

                                                  Larry

Honestly, I forgot about setting invulnerability.  Remind me sometime this
week.
Where next week...?
<looks for website...>
Brazil.  Cool - I actually LIKE that track.<g>

Excellent, me too.

After qualling 3rd, I had a CTD during warmup - very frustrating, and when
the race started, my launch control button didn't work, got a black flag for
jumping the start.  Just horrible but I finished the race in 3rd (due to
retirements I guess).

Thanks for hosting Eldred, I am having a great time doing these and becoming
a much better racer.
